Pediatric Eye Care
Pediatric Eye Care
Why is eye care for kids so important?
-
Amblyopia (Lazy Eye)
Amblyopia is a problem with the way the eyes and the brain work together, further aggravated by a lack of visual acuity in one eye. Lazy eye can be successfully corrected if addressed early on.
-
Ptosis
A condition in which a child's eyelid tends to droop occurs when the muscle around the eye cannot properly support the eyelid. When addressed early, ptosis can be corrected.
-
Strabismus (Crossed Eyes)
Strabismus is an ocular disorder which occurs when a child (or adult's) eyes do not focus in the same direction at the same time. Typically caused by poor eye muscle control, strabismus can be successfully corrected with special eyewear.
